Keep Calm and Write Your Draft :)

Hello, choReaders!
I’m back with my new writing. Now, I write about draft of thesis. Hmm, as my job as student, I just want to share about draft because it is one of our step to make our thesis as duty to finish our study.
Let’s check the model of draft!
The first step we should do is writing the header. See the example below!
Researcher                   :
Reg. Number               :
Department                 :
Faculty                        :
Title                            :
Consultant I                :
Consultant II               :

The second step is time to write the contents. The contents are
A.    Background
In background, you write about your research generally. For example, reading; Write what reading is, the importance of reading, the difficulties in reading. Tell the reader about the reason of the difficulties and one way to solve it. Then, elaborate your reason why you conduct the research.
B.     Problem statement
This part contains question(s) about your research, example:
1.      How is the students’ reading ability before giving them blabblabla method?
C.     Research Objective
It contains the research goal and has relation with problem statement.
1.      To know the extent of students’ reading ability before giving them blabblabla method.
D.    Research significance
It is about the function of our research generally or specifically.
E.      Research scope
It is about the specification of our research. When we conduct research about reading, surely we do not observe all of the aspect of reading. In this part, we explain about the research specifically.
F. Operational Definition of Terms
This part contains the definition of our research aspects. For example, our research is about Reading Comprehension. We explain the definition of Reading and the definition of comprehension in this part.
G.    Research Method
It is about our method when conducting the research. Is it pre-experiment, true-experiment, or classroom Action research?
H.    Variable of the Research
There are two variables. They are independent variable and dependent variable. Independent variable is a factor which is manipulated by the writer to determine the relationship between the phenomena observed (like method). While dependent variable is a factor which is observed and measured to determine the effect of independent variable (like Students’ ability).
I.  Subject of Research
Population and sample of the research are the contents in this part. population is a number people that have characteristic and become subject of the research and sample is a subclass of the target population that the researcher decides to study for generalizing about the target population.
J.       Procedure in Collecting Data
This part consists of the steps of the research. What are you doing in the first meeting, the second, the next, until the last.
K.    Technique of Data Analysis
It contains the formulation in getting the score of the research subject and the classification of the subject; is it very good, good, fair, poor, or very poor?

Hmm. That’s it. Hope it will be useful for you, guys. Thank you J
